I-5 to Knotts

Rick Davis and I are going to meet in Medford, Oregon around 9-10 AM and head down I-5 on Wendnsday morning, 4-21. We are staying overnight in Tracy, CA at the Best Western there and get up early Thursday morning, 4-22, and head south on I-5. We can gather at the Rest stop on I-5 just south of Tracy between 6-6:30 AM to meet other Speedsters, Spyders, and Brand X's going to the BIG SHOW! Then we can mount up and head 'em out! Hopefully we will be able to slip into the Marriott between noon and 2PM and miss some of the gridlock. No guarantees but the way I look at it is we have to make it down there anyway and this should be better than 5PM.

If any of you want to join the convoy with Rick and I, either thru No. California or at Tracy, let me know where and we can gather. I don't plan on waiting much beyond the agreed to time because delays mean more traffic in LA.

Again this is my schedule and don't feel pressured by it, If you want to come down later, why not post when and where and maybe your schedule fits other tubbies so you can still do a wagon train deal.

Weather looks great for Buena Park for the next ten days, keep it coming!

I would think we'd be coming thru Redding between 11:00 AM and noon.

Want to join us? I could give you a call when we leave Medford, figure it is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Medford. I don't have a cell phone but do carry a phone card so I can call from anyplace.

Rick is staying in Portland overnight and Portland is about 5 hours or so to Medford so can't give you a good estimate until we get ready to leave Medford. Does this fit in your schedule? Like to meet you and check your wheels out. I have your home phone # but if you have a cell, send it to me.

Schedule is still on target from my end. I'll bring my cell along with the Molsons. I'll forward you the number off line. I'm still thrashing on the tub. Transaxle is in and engine should be buttoned up over this weekend and installed early next week. Still have to fab exhaust from collector thru muffler and tailpipe and get driving it! Life on the edge!

I just talked to Henry and he will be delivering a sweet red roadster to a client at Knott's. He may not make it my place Weds night and therefore may not be joining us for the ride south. He will be at Knott's, probably meeting us there Friday sometime.

I will be leaving Dixon at 0500, in time to join you guys at Tracy for the slug south.

Good deal Dale, so far the Tracy run will include, Dale, Paul, Rick and myself. Any more want to mount up and join us? Meeting at the Tracy reststop om I-5 on Thursday Morning between 6:00-6:30. Good Lord that's early! Is the sun up yet? LOL.

Dale, glad to have the company in 49. Never have driven it but have heard good things about it.
