Hi Guys

thanks for your kind assistance and advice here

today I looked at one which is listed on Craigslist here in AZ, a lovely guy and he wants 21k for it - it is a vintage speedster

I think the spending range to get something good is between 15 - 22k however the Intermeccanica ones seem to be much more expensive - in fact up to double - I guess the question I have is is the car twice as good - a subjective question most likely

I am not after a rocket ship - just a fun car to drive - I think AC is an essential element of the car given that it is hotter than hell here in PHX -

on that subject the thought occured to me that the fibreglass may warp in the extreme heat - is there any substance in my fear or is this a fiction?

BTW thanks for being a customer of ours - now we are mates you get mates rates - call me any time 480 234 1914 and I will look after you

best wishes to you all

Graeme
Some fear, Graeme.
It depends probably on the age and life your car has led.
My JPS was pretty wave-free when I first got it new.
It was built in the fall/winter of 2003/04, a relatively cool time in So Cal.
I live in a warmer climate in Grass Valley, CA. But a much cooler climate as well. More extreme climate, you could say.
Although the car has always been kept in a garage where there is no climate control. So, over the years I have developed waves and ripples. You'd probably would never see them if the car was white.
I guess it gets down to how the body cured when it was first completed. I may be wrong, but I think all manufacturers, except for Intermeccanica, which uses an oven, allow their bodies to cure naturally

Well Graeme; if those are your expecations any CMC, Fiberfab or Vintage will fit the bill. If you want something more upscale go for the JPSs (basically upgraded Vintages), Becks, SAWs, and Intermecs.
