See Alan's (drclock) post for a 57 with AC. Nice car & it's in PA.
Daryl, Mickeys red tub is awesome and so are most of the tubs you'll see on this site, but it comes down to what you love and you'll know when you see it... In Advance here... Welcome to the madness... NOW pull the trigger and buy a car!
Daryl, I sent you a PM
Mickey:
Beautiful car. The wife wants cream or black, but maybe there is some play. I noticed only one exhaust and in the middle - is that from the originals?

If you're looking at cream you really should consider Jennifer's car, it's stunning https://www.speedsterowners.com/forum/readmsg.asp?t=19275
Any idea what an Intermeccanica with 20,000 miles should go for? I know you probably need more information. Thanks for any responses in advance.
Depends on what year IM it is. And of course engine, extras, etc....
My exhaust is an A1 sidewinder single out. It's a more "beefy" exhaust because I have a bigger engine in mine. The orignal speedsters usually had two chrome pipes sticking out the back. The "supped up" ones sometimes had a single out.

What's it worth? Unlike a production line car you can't just look up a replica in the Kelley Blue Book even knowing all the options. These are indeed custom cars. A performance engine can easily run $8-10+K. Custom interior $2k+. Custom wheels/tires $2-4k. Part of owning one is the hobby - hence owners have more "invested" in the car than they will get out of the car. Price out a real Speedster or any 356 or even a new one built by the few builders out there and you'll see that a used one is indeed a great buy --- plus you don't have to wait to have it built (some quote 2 year wait!)
BLUF - It's worth what you are willing to pay and what the owner is willing to accept! Many here can give you a ball park value but I bet its a range of $4-6k. Some colors are more sellable than others - some folks just can't fit in the original Speedster buckets - some have few miles on them - while technically near new they aren't sorted out so you may have issues over one with more miles. MAACCO will paint for $279 but a show quality paint job is $2-3k to start.

Yeah, I have almost $15k in my engine in parts alone, and the body is still in primer. But, I am also a good example of how not to do things, at least on the cheap...and I fully recognize and accept the fact I have spent money I will never get back again......fun is seldom cheap, no matter the vehicle of delivery.....
I've been there a couple of times but mamaged to get out from under it.. If you take a step back, look at what you've done and find a way to enhance the car, you may still be able to break even.

Daryl, you just missed Jennifer's Snow White Cream tub that was up for sale.. that is one sweet ride, having seen it in person several times. I think you'll still gonna pay anywhere around 16 to 18K for a sweet tub here. better to go off site at samba or ebay to find a one-timer that doesn't know what he or she is selling.. Good luck on that one!
Great point Alan... If you're in this to make a profit you're in the WRONG business Daryl, just ask John or Kirk... We love our tubs because of what we can do with them and when we do it. Our east coast brethren have a tougher time due to the weather there, however here in So Cali we ride all year round and sometimes even more (Duh?) LMAO...

It is a beautiful car - very smooth. However, I'm looking for something close to original. If I could afford both, I would get another like this one.
