Hey Jerome,
Great to hear from you. The kids look terrific and are getting big...guess you made a wise trade for the Speedster. :>) It's been a long time, we're coming up on the 9th Carlisle meet this year. We haven't seen your Speedster since you sold it even though it's believed to be owned nearby. The Carlisle folks must have loved your car, it was still showing up in their advertising last year - it was a beauty. Take it easy and we hope to see you sometime in the future.

It's been nearly 10 years since my Speedy showed up to the house in a crate.

Took just a shade under 2 years to build, with no air compressor or welder as a matter of fact.

For nostolga sake I popped on and did some searching around some old posts during my build. Helped me relive some of the exitement, frustrations and skinned knuckles.

Thanks again to all my online friends who helped me build ole Blue, Gordon, Alan (My fellow Streetbeast builder), John H., "Wild Bill", and George Brown (RIP), and countless others who shared thier knowledege.

I will always remember the fun Kevin and I had attending the very first and second Carlisle Events and putting faces to names. Nice to see it's still going.

Well I've lost touch with Blue, last seen in the Harrisburg PA area. Building my Speedster was both frustrating and rewarding especially the look on peoples faces after answering thier question about who built it. As some of you know I traded her in on a couple of kids. However nothing is as exiciting, frustrating and rewarding than being a Dad!

JEROME!!

Holy Cow! TWO kids?!?!?!?!? No wonder you needed that Nitro!

Lots more people on here, lots more things going on all throughout the year for the Speedstah set.

Missed you and your brother. I've missed the past two Carlisles (life keeps getting in the way) but trying hard to make it THIS year.

All the best from Chris and me.

The guy's name is Jan. Nice guy. Never even looked at the car in person. Did the deal over the phone and he sent a truck. If I remember he had a Jaguar J-Type being restored at the time and it was taking a long time. He bought Blue so he had something fun to drive while waiting on the Jag.

Speaking of my brother Kevin. Here is his baby...

I remember how surprised I was when I heard Blue was coming here, of all places! I looked Jan up and found where he was located. Didn't see the car for a long time as he keeps it garaged. That pic was from last May. Tell Kevin his car is looking great. One of my neighbors is a Mopar nut! Wouldn't want to have to feed it though!

FYI...All the Carlisle Fans who come for "Early Bird Thursday" can thank Jerome for that idea! He and Kevin wanted to make their trip more worthwhile with an extra day of fun. That idea surely stuck!

Jerome, the Early Bird Thursday Crowd has grown from the 5 or 6 of us in 2005 to nearly 50. Some idea, huh??

Funny, that's the night the hotel manager kept coming by and saying "nope, you can't congregate here". The photo has us in the second spot...there were two more moves to go before we landed at a picnic in an alleyway. :>) Dr. Clock solved that problem, we now only stay at a hotel if they give us a party room for the weekend.

Notice some faces we haven't seen in a while.
DUDE!

Chris and I are at the Rolex 24 Hours this weekend spotting for the Porsche GT car #67

Chris says, Hi! His son, Lucas, is now 19 mos. Cool little dude.

Watch our car on "Speed Channel"

Looked good in this evening's practice session - more practice tomorrow and then the real race starting 3pm Saturday. We'll be spotting from the roof of the grandstand.

Pictures at eleven.........
