After looking and continuosly reading the threads on this site since last fall, I took the plunge and bought the 1984/91 IM Roadster talked about by Bruce Gordon and Ron Leonard. I spoke with Henry, called him back and called him back with more and more questions and then made the decision.

Bruce and Ron thanks for the discovery, description and the pictures.

Henry, thanks for the patience and cooperation.

When I get "Emily" ( my wife has named the car)I will add more.

Never ever rev your car past the 6000 rpm mark Ron and I put on the tach in felt pen. As Ron has mentioned, the valves float above that.

We have found that a few people (not mentioning any names Robert Carley) have disregarded our max-rpm settings so we have also written across the front of the leather dash with black felt pen in block letters "6000 RPM MAX". You're welcome.

Your friends at R&R engineering.
Steve, congratulations to you too!

R&R Engineering, please use a color coordinated felt pen, I don't want to mess up the color scheme. Also take into account that I'm color blind. Thanks for you tip so to speak.

Seriously, this is something I have always thought about. In fact, to prove I am into the "geezerdom" age - I looked at a 1963(?)356 in 1973. It was in good shape and the asking price was $1,100. Couldn't afford it and stayed with my VW. So here I am now 30+ years later!
