Have been looking for some time now and picked this one up yesterday. Only 3 years old and the gentleman I purchased it from took excellence care of it! Let the good times roll!!!

That's really nice!!! Who built it?
@Golfnut...built by Vintage in 2009
I meant Nutster...but you might be a golf nut too
Welcome to the madness! Vitals please, you and the new tub.
Nice score, STU! Welcome to the Madness!
Yes, please give us more details. Miles?? how did you find it?
1915cc, 3.88, front disc, cool hand parking brake under dash, 1,600 miles, luggage rack with awesome antique leather suitcase, spare mounted in trunk
I'm in San Diego (Escondido) CA
@Nutster...the gentleman actually posted it for sale on this site a couple of weeks ago...he wasn't too far from where I am so I drove over to take a look...few days later we agreed on price and now it sits in my garage waiting to be driven
I see it sitting somewhere, but that's not a garage. Where's the oil stained floor, the boxes of crap stacked up, the peg board with tool outlines but no tools? Nope, that does not look like any garage I've ever seen.
Welcome to the Madness. I see it already started with your garage floor matching your car.... LOL..

ANOTHER SO CAL RIDER
Nutster...Vintage Speedsters is located in Hawaiin Gardens, which is in the middle of
SoCal....they only build speedsters to your specs, and for 25K you have one that is brand
new & looks like your real one....
Ya, that might be right Vinny, but Henry needs work (probably not) and I think the Nutster has a check written out already. Oh, congrats TUB4STU, welcome to the madness! Nice VS.
WTTM!
I LOVE the ebrake under the dash.
Someday I might have S convert mine...
@Rich...Thanks!!! @Inde...I thought thebrake was a pretty cool feature too...haven't seen too many with that option
No prob, STU, now go out and spend some more money on more stuff for the tub and get this economy really cranked up! I see a bumper sticker in your future...Speedsters for Barack.
I see a comedian has joined the group
The red seats look great with that carpet and body color. Very nice Tub4Stu. Congrats!!
Someone (more enterprising then me), should sell a kit to do an under-dash 356 style e-brake. Neat feature.
I've never heard of Vintage offering an under the dash e-brake as an option. Do you know if it was really installed by Vintage?

For those of you drooling over Stu's beautiful silver Speedster, my silver and black Vintage will be ready for eBay in about 2 weeks or less. Just waiting on new windshield posts.
Troy, I bought it from the second owner who said the original owner told him he took the brake to Kirk when he was building the car and had him install it...I am actually heading up to VS this Saturday (my dad is very interested in having one made) and will ask Kirk if he did the install...quick ? for you, there are 2 switches under the dash...I know one is the kill switch but not sure what the other is for...fan? I'll let you know what Kirk tells me too!
The one on the left is for the kill switch and the one on the right is probably for the under the dash light. Have you tried flipping it in the dark? You probably would not notice it in the daytime.
Right you are Sir!!! Just tried it and it is for the light!! Thanks for the assist
Congrats, Stu! I'm still a month or two out from ordering my VS.
Unless...... Troy, what kind of motor in the silver?
Rich, to go with your FB Comrade theme, are you saying that the Speedster is the new "people's car?"

It would be nice if you offered it up to the members here at a reasonable price.
Or will you be going straight to Fleabay in order to try and get top $$ ?
It's always night to make a deal with a fellow enthusiasts as opposed to paying top dollar bidding amongst the masses who don't contribute to the community.

Indetrucks.
I always post them on eBay with a Buy It Now price and I always post them on here so any SOC members have an opportunity to purchase and several have. Also, if you have ever seen any of my eBay sales you will see that I do not "try to get top $$" I sell them for a reasonable and fair price, which will be thousands less than the original price that Stu's car was listed for.
Sacto Mitch.
The previous owner was told by the original owner that it is a 1915cc, but it is impossible to tell without taking the engine apart. It feels like, but it could also be a 1776. It has a Freeway Flyer transmission and has a little over 6,000 miles. This picture was before I did anything to it and it looks much nicer now.
"...much nicer now"???
Troy, I can hardly wait to see how you've improved on salivating sumptous!
And I did pay thousands less than what the car was listed for!!!

Nope.com
i hope not u were were sounding pretty damn liberal there
Troy, is my old shifter going into this one?
i hope not u were were sounding pretty damn liberal there
No, I was just hoping one would give members here the first crack at a deal. It's just the cool thing to do and part of the reason members come here in the first place. So we can feel special and be "in the know" as well as given the opportunity to pick something up without having to deal with the likes of Craigslist and/or Ebay.
We are contributing members and I feel it should be one of the rewards/benefits for being a part of this community.
Pet peeve of mine is someone posting their item/car for sale here and merely providing a ****ing link to Craigslist or Ebay. Thanks for the special treatment *insert huge eyeroll here*
If you are going to do that, at least mention an SOC bro deal that is a tad lower than you are offering the avg low-baller Joe window shopping on Craigslist.
And don't even call me a Liberal, I will cut down Vince's stripper pole and shove it up ur arss! lol
Hey, leave my stripper pole out of this, unless of course Katy, oh, nevermind.....
Troy isn't buying used speedsters, refurbishing them, and re-selling them because
he likes us so much or because we are contributing members, he doing it to make a few bucks, and he's bored.....
Being a liberal is normal when you are young
conservative thinking comes with age.....and money.....
wait a few years when you get tired of living in this socialist climate....
sometimes I'm glad I am as old as I am...
comes with age...and money...AND WISDOM!!!
