I had a old OEM VW shroud powdercoated, along with the accompanying tin, for my new engine. Unfortunately, I've just been informed that CB's fuel rails won't clear the old OEM shroud (insert swear words here). So, I'm looking for another shroud. After some research the best shroud I can find that clears my fuel rails is the Scat shroud. I could go with an Empi shroud, but I'd rather steer away from anything made by that company.
What are the rest of you using for a fan shroud? I've tried the Bernie Bergman 911 shroud and don't want to go down that path again. I've love to purchase a Jake Raby shroud, but he doesn't make a T1 shroud with heater pipes.
What else is there?
Thanks
Ron

Ron, the carburetors can be mounted in either direction... In other words, if the right side carb has the fuel rails mounted on what would be the "inside" then put that carburetor on the left side. That will then have position the fuel rails on the outside of the carburetor. Linkage pivot arms can be switced from end to end if you're using a hexbar type of linkage.
I have just bought some IDF's to gut and use as throttle bodies. Next on the list is CB IDF type intake manifolds with the injector bungs.

Is this likely to run into the same shroud clearance problem. It would be nice to know before I import them into Thailand.
The alternative is to machine injector holders into standard IDF manifolds
