I want the turbo to reside away from engine fan intake,I don't want to create more heat that is important to me, also I fabricate my own manifolds so location of the turbo is important to me and should be based in performance rather that easy to manufacture

the closest you mount the turbo to the exhaust ports on the head the more efficient it will be (a remote location can be improve with coatings and flow design)

so I'm still experimenting with the kit, I already make kits for watercooled vw's but I won't be able to advance much until I get my speedster assembled for testing

thanks to all
steve look at the link above, the turbo is about as close as your going to get to the exhaust ports also its one of the few if not only
turbo header that mounts the turbo outside of the eng. compartment, with only the pressurized air tube running in the eng. comp. to the carbs/intake.
