After completely redoing the front and rear suspension and brakes on my 74 chassis - i think i finally have it done.
I wanted ball joint and IRS suspension, but also wanted the wide 5 / vintage outlaw look. This took a lot longer to do than i had planned, so i thought i'd help folks who wanted a similar look with my specs...
Front:
CB adjustable front beam with 1.5 torsion bars removed (cut and pieces rewelded to the fastening points), CB drop spindles, 66 front brakes (wide 5 ball joint), lowered ball joints
Rear (by far the hardest):
Adjustable sping plates (notched in drop uber low), new torsion bars and caps, all anodized allen bolts used, 67 rear brakes, custom made HD SAW axles / new CV's, custom narrowed trailing arms (33mm)
Front + Rear:
CB aluminum drum covers, mangel 5.5 silver wheels, Yoko AVIDs 185-60-15
Finally done - BTW - this is with no engine in the back (yah - it's gunna be *that* low)
shifting gears to the wiring harness and interior...
