The '54:
Stretch it 3 feet, chop the top behind the front seat and install a flatbed (tilt optional). Crate LS and 700R4 and you have the proper period-correct Speedster/Spyder hauler.
The other one: same! It is of course a much easier build & could probably be accomplished in a long weekend but you really suffer the cool factor.
