Thanks Jim,

I really, really want to tinker with another one, I am thinking a skiny Speedster this time around but I plan on using a lot of the same old ideas that I did on the first one, which was a near basket case when I picked her up in 2001.

Some new dreams/ ideas:

Monocle or chopped windshield

Fiber glass tonneau cover with integrated headrest

Louvered motor hatch

Mini light rims

Stinger exhaust

Now, I probably should not have mentioned that because anyone thinking of selling me their prized gem might cringe but I have not been on the board for so long that I have a lot of Speedster talk to catch up on.

Chris my SpeedsterBro...
It's funny how our true inner desires don't allow us to stray too far. Since you bought your 996, I kept going from 911 to a new Mustang to Solstice to.... whatever but never was able to pull the trigger. Wait until you see what I'm working on now...
Welcome back! Soon it will be like old times.... you buying up all my used crap (O:~R
Rick! It is good to see you still here! I gotta tell you the 996 is still a blast and I love it but like money and ladies, I am a big big believer that too much and too many is/ are a good thing!
Aside from that, I would love to hear about the new Uber-Speedster in progress on the West Coast, and I will keep you posted on the flip side. I would love to shoe horn a 3.0L flat six into one of these lil gems, but lets let time see what happens. There is however a great deal on a Cobra that is nearly too good to pas up but it would be at the cost of not being a SpeedsterBro.
Chris,

You may have already seen this car, but if not, it's worth a look.

Marcos del Aguila's 911 based IM. If you have not seen it, go to the registry tab, click on the sort button below manufacturers, page about 3 to 4 pages into the Intermeccanica cars and you will find Marcos car. 911 suspension, 3.2L, G50, etc. etc. Uber IM.
Bill- I will look check it, thanks!

Any one know about it ?????
Hey Bro, I was kidding as I have been blessed, regardless of my P-Car payment currently going to Pre-School...(O: (It's my fault for enrolling her is a school that teaches how to make their pedal cars faster..).
I still have my "Family Boat", but then again I just sold the Scarab for that Floating Luxury Multi Lazy-Boy Lounger last year. Anyway, I'm on the same wave length. Need something to tinker and free my mind of those kiddie school payments... (Just kidding about the payments. My mind needs freeeeeeeeing every other minute).
Good to know we're both back. Wait... I never left!~R
Hey Chris!

Boy do I remember your Speedster!!! I was undecided at the time, when I saw your ad for that black beauty. My wife said it was a little tooooo hot looking for me to drive around NYC.

What happened with school? That was the reason you sold it right?

Any how! Welcome back! Did you see AlanM's posting for the two unfinished CMC's? You get a wide and classic to choose from.

Best of luck looking - Mel
Hey Mel,

Thanks for the complements on my tub I miss it alot. It was purchased by a fellow out in Washington State so I will probably never see it again! In any event my MBA is history and I have some extra time on my hands once more, meaning another Tub could be fun. I emailed Alan today and I said that I might try and catch up with him at Carlisle.

For the record, I just spoke with my good friend, the fellow that did all of the mechanics on Tub and on my Marcos and the proud builder of several early IM Speedsters, he might be tagging along with me to the show, so any of you East Coast Speedster Folk, he is a great guy to meet.

As for the project Speedsters, they are the true meaning of the word temptation! I have access to a Flat Six at a good price so it is an itch that was never scratched the first time
