And what did I see? A Concourse down by the lake is what. So a few shots were taken. Best in show was a Delahaye -?- never heard of but great guggamooga what a car. And it was not alone, by any means. Can't show 'em all, but there were a few P-cars too. Toward the end of the show saw a guy hoisting a coupe up on a trailer to head home. Looked kinda funny. Turned out to be a '52. Very recognizable on the one hand, but lots of small details very unfamiliar on the other, the rear shown w/ an odd array of tail light shapes. A poor shot of the interior, w/ banjo wheel and a funky push button radio, and other stuff. Don't know if it won anything, but the fellow said he just bought the red one at the show -- it's a four-cam. My guess is the two together are over $$ half a mil. Again: holy crap. And the guy he bought the four-cam from had another one that he drives around. I asked him if he had ever taken one apart, and he said yes he had. But he had never put one back together, he volunteered. According to this fellow, there is only one guy on the planet who can do this, and he lives in Idaho, or Montana,, or some such, and they all go to him for the Big Fix, if needed. Many smooth lines to admire . . .
