OK Cory I'm gonna settle this for ya - NO FANCY SCHMANCY STUFF! If you're gonna do anything other than all silver or all flat black do your original Le Mans thing and screw the Vespa! Your car screams BADASS, don't take any of that away with stripes or meatballs. Think "Outlaw", think "Old School", those cars were built for speed and performance, not so people would look and say "Ooooo, look how pretty it is with those stripes." I think simplicity fits you and the car (No, I'm not calling you simple). There isn't anything on that car that isn't there for any other purpose than making it go fast or to make it perform, don't lose that. Of course this is my opinion and even though I always know best not everyone else knows that I know best(ha), so do what ever feels right in your gut.
On another note - My mechanic is almost done with my rebuild. He is waiting on some longer J-tubes for the Tri Mill so maybe in a few days? I can't wait! He did the thing from top to bottom - new crank, cams, heads, pistons, valves, exhaust, all the correct engine tin, new clutch, front and rear sway bars, and a few others. He's also gonna re-rivet the body to the frame in a few places, as the old rivets are stretched a bit, just to tighten things up. So, hopefully next week I'll be out and about, it's been killing me these past few days! With all this new engine work I may be able to keep up with Hoopty (haaaaa ha haaaa, I crack myself up)! But maybe a cruise?
