I live in Spain, and I am unsure of how to import a US car, get it registered here etc. So, ideally I want to buy a IM Roadster already in Europe.
My email is Alistair@Boardroom.org
Many thanks.

You can check SOC members in your area by showing members by Map. 219 in Europe but only 3 in Spain and 1 in Portugal. Check importing one from US often if built over 25 years ago it can be imported and registered. Some are actually still registered as VW but not sure if that would help or hinder.
Alistair - Check with Carey Hines (CHINES1 on this forum) as he runs Special Edition, the manufacturer of all Beck cars. I know they sell cars in Europe, so maybe he can answer your questions. Also, Henry Reisner (IM) is on here occasionally as well. I'm sure one of these guys can help get you started.
After talking to Henry ( ay IM), you can also call RACE to help you through the process... They helped me and others over the past decade.... If you are a member.
for those not from Spain that's the Royal Automobile Club of Spain. (Real Automobil Club de España). It's our version of AAA.
i'mfamiliar w/ the process to register VS in Madrid ( as a VW vin car)... But IMs may be different.
Cheers,
Luis
The only IM I know of in Europe is Mart Boudestein in the Netherlands. He purchased a car from California and had it shipped over. I know he got it registered, I'm not sure how. Henry might be able to give you the low-down.
I believe Henry has a distributor in Europe, if you want to buy a new one.
He also may be able to put you in touch with someone in Europe who would know of any used IM's for sale.
I got an email from a very helpful Henry. No cars for sale that he knows of, except for a very nice IM Kubelwagon in Spain and legal to drive. I'll keep looking, RCH in Greece might be able to register in Spain, waiting for a response. Thank you everyone.
Hi. I'm sure a member of the speedsters club in the UK has an IM. Not been on the site for some while but I do remember someone importing one. Thats www.speedsters.com. There's also a speedster & spyders site.
Not an IM, but a VS already licensed/registered in Spain, Marbella.
