Idiot Lights

There are lots of idiot lights spread across the gages. Anyone have a diagram showing what each means. It seems like more lighs than things to measure

2 small red ones on either side of the turn indicator on tach and three large red and one large blue on temp/fuel gage. I know what the blue one is but the others ???

Red is Generator, Green is OIL, Blue (if you got it) is High Beam......... those lights?

What your "idiot lights" signify depends on who built your car. I know JPS and IM wire 'em one way and VS does them another. Others may do it yet another way.

Vintage made it

On my old JPS the red lights on either side of the green turn-signal-arrows were: Right = oil pressure, Left = generator. The only other light that signified anything was the blue light for the brights. I know some manufacturers use the other red lights in the left pod for things like alarms, etc.
I'm not 100% certain on this, but I believe the VS cars have the red lights in the tach wired the other way: Right = generator, Left = oil pressure. Maybe some other VS owner can verify?

My IM lights are on the tach, one of the red is my parking brake indicator, the other one is not used (but used for catalytic convertor temp), on the combo gauge left red is for alternator, 2 centre reds are for oil pressure and the blue is hi-beam.

Maybe when all the lights FLASH it means 'BEER ME'
