If you could do it all over again what would you choose?

This past summer I sold two long term project cars, 69 Karmen Gia and 73 914, and am now looking at something less involved. This is where the Speedster has caught my eye. If you had a chance to start all over with a new Speedster, what whould you go with and why?

It kind of depends on how much money you wanr to spend. You can do a $60,000 IM or drop down to under $20,000 for a basic turnkey or even less for a new kit or rolling kit. This is what is nice about these deals, something for everyone! You'll find lots of great info on this forum, I know I used it for my sourcing. Good Hunting!

I agree with Bruce, money is the determing factor. The range can be anywhere from $5000 to $70,000+. Determine what you can spend (include repairs, unless new) and then start looking. Where you live can also be a factor

I think I'd choose to be rich rather than so dam handsome. Actually I'm pretty happy with what I've got an $11K VS with some miles on it. It like all of us is a work in progress and part of the fun for me is making the car mine. It'll probably take the rest of my life.

I'd buy a $10K used speedster (probably an older IM) and make it right. I WOULDN'T try to make it something it's not- a year-round, weather-tight cruiser.

I would buy a 5 speed trans and a 2110. I would add roll up windows and a gas heater.Other tan that, it's perfect.
