Ignition light

Our VS kit we are building is pre-wired for a alternator and we are using a generator,I have installed a voltage regulator and we think we have it all figured out except the ignition light wire. Can anyone help us with where that wire is connected ? Thanks for your help-Patrick

Get a Bentley manual and check the wiring diagram and appropriate chapters - on some models the bulb is an integral part of the charging circuit.

The blue wire that runs with the two green wirs goes to the DF post on the voltage regulator.
Empi sells an altenator kit for $120.00 with everything yoou will need and it will be the best $120.00 you spend on your car.

Patrick...should you find that the "generator light stays on with engine at normal RPM's and you are positive that you have 12v plus output at the generator .

You may have to reverse the way the generator dash light is wired ...

Try this ..the blue wire from the generator to the side of the bulb
( - ) and the center contact ( + ) on the bulb to ground

yes it sound 1/2 A** backwards but it works !
