No pass needed. There aren't any roads in the park. There are several nice roads in the area though.

If you go on the other side of the river (North), there is a nice viewing area for all of the resident bald eagles in the area.

- Repaint I've been talking about
- NOS interior door handles
- Sound Deadener in doors
- Ivory knobs
- New dash trim (closer to original)
- New door tops (if available)
- Rebuilt or new tach (it gave up a couple of weeks ago)

Some other minor things.

I'm very curious about the "new dash trim", and I think I want some of those NOS interior door handles.

Door handles are all spoken for, but if I run across more I'll keep you in mind Lane.

The dash trim is just a bit more authentic is all.  I'll shoot you a photo of what I am talking about on the RHD car.  It looks great, but is still only about 95% of what I am making for the LHD cars.  My shop is ALL spyders and 904s for the next few months but I have a few Christmas delivery Speedsters that will be getting this treatment before Tom's and I'll be sure to take some good pics.

Tom--I know we have gone back and forth about your paint.  I know you are going to be happy with the result.  After all that you now must come to Carlisle 2014!

Guys as much as I would love to be part of the cruise to starved rock I will be out of town. Between moving the first week of August and work I have not gotten much wheel time. I am just coming up for air and hoping the weather holds for a month. Enjoy the drive and the company both are fantastic. I apologize for being radio silent things have been (good) out of control for much of the last couple of months.

Yes.  When you guys said you wanted them I boxed the last 4 sets up and labeled them with your names (Tom R, Tom B, Joe F and Rich D).  They are on the client parts shelf and waiting for winter service time.

I've driven a dune buggy with no dash lights, a mag light in my lap focused on the speedo and waiting at an intersection with the parking brake since I couldn't take my foot off the throttle since it wouldn't idle. (And if it died, I wasn't sure it would restart...it's a Volkswagen after all.) Yeah, you'll be fine.

 Busy summer and I don't think I have driven the car twice since Peoria. Put a weak ad on Craigslist,but really have not put much effort into selling the car.

 Biggest issue for me is space right now,but I think I have found a solution.
