I'm moving on to another "project". I am putting "LA BOMBA" up for sale in the fall. I would entertain offers for the car if one of my fellow SOC'ers were seriously interested. Most of you know my car, Its on Intermeccanica's build site, I can send additional pics. The car is in excellent condition. Under 10k miles, 911 running gear, 3.2liter Carrera motor(1986). Steve Wong chip, M&K exhaust, 915 Tranny, with WEVO coupling, Dynoed at 212hp at rear wheels. Have ALL docs and and service records from IM and Power-tech Motors, who have looked after it for me. Over 90k in the build, Asking 75k. Special car for the right person.

For the build pics, go to the registry on this site, my car is the 1st one listed, and you can see multiple pics of the build in progress at Henry's shop. Car is showroom new, NO FLAWS, well sorted out drives like a 911 Carerra should after losing 750 lbs.
I'm gonna run right out and buy a lottery ticket. I'm bound to win, right?
Care to share any clues about the "project"?

Hi Lane, good to see you in Carlisle as always. Not at liberty to say, except that its a "restoration". I would keep La Bomba in a heartbeat, but the Mrs "suggests", Ive run out of "room", and could use the funds to proceed to the next project.
Howard-sad and exciting to me at the same time. I hope that whatever the new project is, that it will be something that will continue to tie you to this group.
I can't imagine what the new project could be as to me you have just about the ultimate Speedster replica. It must be something incredible
is all I can say.
Good seeing you at Carlisle.

After driving Howard's car at Carlisle all I can say is "if you have the means, you should pick one up" from the bathroom seen in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
What does fall mean to someone living in Florida? I need to know how much time I have to illegally accumulate this cash!

For those considering Howard's car; that thing is not some experiment with old technology. Don't expect to see anything like it for sale "pre-owned," for a good long time, either. This is a rare good deal.
It's an extraordinarily well-thought-out, brilliantly detailed, excellent-handling machine that happens to look kind of like the Speedsters we've come to expect from IM.
Beautiful car, Howard. Good luck with the sale!

Howard, my friend, I wish you luck with your sale and am anxious to hear about your next project. I hope that we can keep you in the fold. Losing you from our group I would count as a personal loss and I would miss you greatly.
Sincerely, Hoss

Damn, Its good to hear from my colleagues. I'm not going anywhere, anytime soon(I hope). I'll be at Carlisle, or anywhere we can gather as a group. I'm just ichin' to get to going on another "someting else". I will not give it away, but I also realize that the market is tiny, for a specialty item like this. In the fall, I'll put it up for sale in Robb Report, Hemmings, on the IM website, Classic Car, etc... word of mouth will help. We'll see how it goes.... in the meantime, Its the funnest thing I've ever driven, this side of two wheels. If anyone knows someone who might be interested and who has the coin.... I'm all ears. No time frame, no rush to move it
A 25 person time share, $3000 each and you get to drive it for 2 weeks out of each year.
Northeners get dibs on June, July and August. We'll work something out for insurance and upkeep. Who's in?

Geesh $3k ? I could enter it in the Great Race next year and have Henry be my navigator and major sponsor~
Howard, that is a great car.......but.....you're going to need just the right buyer. This one has been on & off EBAY for about 6 months now, never meets the reserve:

Barrett Jackson is your best bet, they seem to suck all the money out of those fools....even in these times....
Yeah both the BJ Buyer and Seller gets a ho$e'n.
Oh, please don't use those slime bags.
Rich-you are right! My son went to BJ and laughed/cried at the inflated prices (+ plus the "vigorish")...
BUT-they move a lot of high end cars which is Howard's objective.
They're just too slimy for me, Jack. They might be doing their job, I just don't like their line of work. Great cars though.
But wait, we digress. Back to Howard's beautiful car and how do I figure out how to buy it?
I got 3 k will throw in for my 2 weeks.
Keep those pledges coming, only 22 or 23 more to go before we make this proposal to Howard.
First 2 weeks of September
Al.First two weeks of September plus $3000. Keep it in a separate account until the time comes. Be it known to all that Al has reserved the first two weeks of Sept., 2012...I'm sure we won't be able to swing this deal until at least October, 2011.
My 2 weeks will be for the Smokies run 2012. 3,000.00 will not be enough I am willing to go 3200.00 plus 200 per year upkeep expense. we have to figure insurance and registration I vote register it in Montana cheep tags.
My $3,000 is for the 2012 Great Race week next year... there is no question I will finish in fist place but, I may need to explain myself a tad to the race officials :~)

Throw in all the money you want, gentleman, it will be to no avail. I intend to win the lottery on Wednesday, then fly out and retrieve this elegant automobile then engage in a most adventurous westward journey.
Got to send myself an email to remind self to buy a lottery ticket.

Are there any lottery drawings on Tuesday evenings?
I'll leave it with the keys, in the driveway. Just don't wake me up!
You heard him, boys! We push it down the street before we start it up.
Don't leave the keys in the ignition, that doesn't look so good. :~)
A friend of mine who had a crap Chevy truck, one that left him on the side of the road once too often. Then one evening on the way home form work the motor caught fire....wouldn't you know that a Vol fireman stopped to "help?" My friend had to almost tackle him say'ing noooooo don't go near it, you might get hurt......replacement was a new F150.
