Hello my fellow Wing Nuts !
I had to put all my toys away in the Garage down in Baja Mex and head back to SoCal to get our Dr. appointments and tax preparations done before our next jaunt north.
While I was away, Greg sent me a progress photo of the rear suspension being built. I haven't talked to him yet but will next week. Hopefully there's something to report on the front suspension.
The photo's below are putting my Mexican Panga back in the garage and a new door I built to replace the wooden one that the ferocious termites ate up so bad that it fell off ! This one is 1/8" steel 2 X 4" with 14ga steel panels. The frame is now 3/16" thick steel channel and 1/2" solid steel jambs. The thing must weigh 200+ lbs so I welded on 4 steel 1/4" thick X 4" hinges to hold it up. It was lots of fun cutting in the holes for the knob and dead bolt lock ! Ha Ha. Between that and getting some nice Lion Paw Scallops and Lobsters, Christmas parties and New year parties (Baja expatriates know how to do these last two things with perfection !) fishing for Marlin,Yellowtail and Dorado (mahi mahi) and just putzing around in the desert has kept us busy and happy ! So now, it's back to more fun up here, doing other things as they come up.
I'm sure you all had a great holiday season and are ready for another year of fun as well
I enjoyed this site while in Baja. It kept my interest a lot because of all of your posts on all kinds of projects .
