If I am reading this right yours is a 75 IM so that was when they were in the USA. So an early model IM ... They sold their company then moved north, someone should have one to tell you ... Which company bought them out at the time .. I can;t remember but the frame based units I believe all have his own creation... not sure which windshield fits on it.
I think Carey from Beck sells them and they fit the early IM's Sorry I could not be any more help this early in the day.
"Which company bought them out at the time .. I can't remember"
Classic Motor Carriages (Miami, FL) aka CMC bought out IM cica 1979. IM then moved from Calif to Vancouver, BC. This was Henry's dad - not young Henry.
1976–1979
Automobili Intermeccanica was formed in partnership between Frank Reisner and Tony Baumgartner in Santa Ana, California, to build Speedsters. About 600 Speedsters were constructed. Tony Baumgartner bought out Frank Reisner's 50% share of Automobili Intermeccanica and later sold the Speedster project and equipment to Classic Motor Carriages in Florida.
CERETECH-IM... Moved north I get. IM moved to Vancouver. But "sold"? What business did Henry sell?
ASHCREEK - You can reach IM at intermeccanica@telus.net. Robert (handles parts sales among other tings) monitors that email address.
Paul his Dad sold his part of the USA business then moved north and set up a new company that is the IM of today. I am quoting this from memory but if you read the story of the prancing bull the details are all there. Ray
Who's Paul?
Thanks Ray!
Out of respect for my elders, I'll ignore the comment that followed.
Baaaa you made me chuckle... Wasn't He an apostle in the 1st century .....
Not really I was responding to
Paul Mossberg's question... ...Ray
I discovered the car is a 78. I can't seem to get any response from Intremeccanica@telus.com.
Should I try Classic Motor Carriages.
The ball is rolling, but seems to have hit a stone wall.
Ashcreek, as noted here in the archives, CMC, Classic Motor Carriages, has been deceased for many years. As for the fit of a windscreen and accessories, send Carey Hines an email , to see if his stuff will fit.
Also talk with Kirk at Vintage Speedsters, (Phone not text), his items might fit your '78 IM
SE/Beck's windshields do indeed fit early IMs and CMC - he delivered one (2) to David S. at Carlisle.
I tried intremeccanica.com/a third.net/contact, 4 times.
They are running one hell of a good business out there.
Thanks Art, vintage speedster has the stuff!

Any pictures of your car? Was it assembled in California or Italy?
Actually ashcreek, they are running a good business.
And it's not surprising that you are not able to get a response from inermeccanica@telus.com. But your blame is misdirected.
If you take a closer look at my reply to your request for contact info, you might notice the address is intermeccanica@telus.net

Beck windshields will fit. Carey Hines has been very generous to my efforts and has donated two to me and provided one to the 2012 raffle that I ( by some miracle ) won. I think I have bought two from him. Yeah, I know. Thanks again, Carey. Nice one.
Ashcreek, my car is also a 1978 IM serial number 8?0223. Do you have a serial number decal on your Driver's door jamb showing the year of yours ? Just curious if we are close. I'm betting that my car was built in California, first on the road in 1983 in Pennsylvania and I bought it in 2010 in Boise, Idaho.
Carey has a special box for shipping too so it doesn't get broken in shipping - plus he's lot closer (IL) than VS (CA). Carey has been more than gracious in delivering them to Carlisle too. "We" need to stage 10 with DrClock for folks on east coast.
I bought five windshields from Carey and installed them in two Vintage Speedsters, two CMC's and one unknown body on a Fibersteel frame - they all fit just as nicely as those I removed. He shipped all five in one (really nifty) shipping container and they all arrived in perfect shape. He has another box (just as good) for single shipments.
There are at least three threads on here about replacing windshields and one article up under "Resources" and then the "Knowledge Base" that Dr. Clock and I wrote that pretty much covers it all.

David. Do you have the "correzzeria intermeccanica" emblem on the lower part of the passanger side fender?
I'll send the serial # in the A.M. when I get to work.
My car came with no emblems anywhere. It was in very rough shape.
It sat outside for 10 years, with a tree on it. I've basically replaced everything.
It's been a long project, but I'm almost there!
Funny thing, IM just got back to me, and they have everything I need.
If you truly believe ...."It's been a long project, but I'm almost there," You missed a few things...( right Greg? ) Welcome to the Madness :~)

Absolutely. Do you have a first Name ? Could you answer my question above about your possible serial number ?
David, My serial # is 8A0197. I have no idea where the car was made. How do
you find out? My name is Tullio, I'm new at this and assumed we communicated
by code names.
I was told that my car takes a real Speedster windshield. I hope so, I already bought one.
I know what you guys mean about the madness. When I got this car, I figured
on putting a motor in, paint it flat black, and driving away. If my wife knew
what I have into this thing already, I'd be living in my shop.
Intermeccanica came through with everything which was, new side trim, top windshield channel, new top clasps and a new inside mirror. I didn't know the bumper deco moldings were the real thing, so I got those from Stoddard. There goes another paycheck!
