The engine lid will not close. The strike pin appears to be missing the latch. Do either the stike pin or latch adjust?

Adjust can be made by loosening the 4 bolts that attach the deck lid to the hinges. How does the engine cover sit when closed? Does it fit in place without hitting the body? Even gaps? Too high on one side? All of this can be adjusted by loosening the bolts and moving the lid slightly.
