Looks more like a 356 engine. Crummy seats, but still...

Could be....SEATS are bad! Got that right!!
Wonder what year? Pan vs TUBE?
Nice at 17K?
Forget the seats, look at the firewall, this car has been neglected...

what's a couple of small fires? (LOL)
The interior with the lower dash makes me thin it might not be a pan. Seats are an easy fix , and at this price it would be a nice project. Buy and drive. HA! No sir.
But buy, pull the engine, clean up the wiring, suspension, etc etc ... a dance I know all too well. And it could be a good deal. If my plate was not completely full, ( and I did not need both rotators cuffs taken care of), I would fly in and check it out.
FYI, It should be a Frame car as it is post 1984. I has the AC vents but no compressor in the engine compartment.

Engine from ad:
Engine from a 1969 Porsche 912:
very close to identical....nice TYPE4 to build with?
Probably the exact same as the c engine, as they were still using parts from the 356 at first. Attached is a f photo of my 67 912 engine. Pretty much same thing. (except mine was a stroker with 44 idfs ... kick as engine.) The Porsche engine is a big plus to me... but again looking at a lot of work.

YES....indeed but if you show up with18/19K and it flies, you then put in 6 to 8K and you know EXACTLY what you've got(NOT a LOT of work?)....VALUE and UPSIDE.
You KNOW you want this...LOL

Been looking at the phone.???...thinking about pressing a few buttons.....??.......the entrepreneurial instincts kicking up a notch??? HOLD ME BACK>>>>PLEASE!!
That's a tube frame car with a "P" car flat 4, and it's short money. It's a great deal, Carlos.
Sadly, not for me Stan. Life is in fast lane right now.
IMHO - I would never ever buy this car without doing a through in air inspection. And at post purchase just expect to pull engine, rebuild top end, new cvs, etc, etc, etc,
Also if the seller seems to be someone who is going to be 'in your face' about it, just walk. Better for everyone in the long run. Always a better deal coming along.
Even so, right guy at right time - this could be a good deal.
