Looks like a post VW pan IM. Might be a bargain if mechanically sound.

No tins in the engine compartment, so you know it already has needs. Not a fan of the seats, but it looks nice otherwise.
Had a pair of those seats in my custom "YUGO"
Love the color; really sets off the Fuchs! Agree with Lane, it needs engine compartment tin and don't love the seats, but they're relatively minor (as long as there is no engine damage). Yet again, though, an ad with not nearly enough information.
ALB..sent PM on FUCHS
Who or what makes that fuel pump
ReV
Crappy Empi/Facet fuel pump --- designed to PUSH and not PULL so should be mounted up front under the fuel tank.
That is the most CMC-looking IM I have ever seen.
I also love the VW donor dash knobs circa 1970.
This is someone's home built nightmare. They refer to it as a kit car, It has a "new" motor after 7K miles, no professional built car would be lacking tins. Has Henry ever installed Recaro's? This does not pencil out. Also why would someone with the knowledge and $ to buy an IM put it on Craigslist?
We ALL know that CRAIGS is the ULTIMATE DIGITAL SALE domain for "GENTLEMAN'S AUTOMOBILES".........
That deep red paint with Fuchs wheels looks very nice. I imagine those are repo wheels.
I hope the hell the guy didn't drive around with all that engine tin missing.
I've seen a number of older IMs (pan cars) with that style of seat. @BOB:IM S6 didn't your red roster have Recaro seats like these, but in leather?

There's no way of telling since there's almost nothing for details in the ad...
Recaro's were used and are still being used by IM.
BTW I have those seats but in leather and they are absolutely great on long trips. Normal roadster seats look great but If your body style is one with a long torso the headrest is below your shoulders so your golden in those Recaro's and the bolsters are not too large to get in and out. Some have even chosen those in cloth as they did not like vinyl or leather in the heat. CHOICE, you got love it.
