Ok it says in the window 56, but it is definitly the 59 replica. DON'T bid on this one without an inspection or test driving the car yourself. I got lucky that mine was in such great shape other then the engine. I did a lot of work making the engine right......don't be surprised if it has 22km. The kilometers on the gauge and he just didnt realize it was in km most likely. Mine was listed the same way and it said 20k and it was actually 20 thousand km. This sound and looks almost identical to mine so be ready to go look at it or have someone take an inspection by doing compression and leak down tests and finding out if the engine runs ok. My car has every option known at the time and that largely effects the price. But most important is the engine and overall condition.
I live a couple of miles from Marina Del Rey so I took a look at the IM.
It is being sold by a car dealer- Del Rey Motors.
I didn't drive it but personally I wouldn't be interested unless 1) you are wide tolerant or 2) you are prepared to do some refurbishing. It needs new carpet , some new rubber, and has rust and corrosion on other than fiberglass. It has been cleaned up well but looks as if it was not garaged. It's top is also faded.
The engine was steam cleaned so I would also have that checked out.The dealer said that is has had two owners and that they are hoping to get $17,000 for it. I hope this information is useful.

Troy..why don't you care about the engine? If your planning on a new one check the pricing before you get too carried away and if you jump the hp you will probably need a different transmission then the one that is in it??? Having said that I doubt that it is really a straight 1600 engine, he is just using the numbers on the car which most of us have on there to make the car more original looking...I'll bet it is at least a 1776 or maybe a 2007. If it doesn't have external oil cooler I'm also willing to bet the valve guides are bad and thats why its on the lot. It would have to go for about the current price to be worth all the hassle unless you plan to do the work yourself and enjoy that kind of work. Replacing everything that she mentioned above would get costly just in parts....JMHO
Back to Stevens reply about mileage. Thanks much that kicked my brain into gear and I agree so much that I am buying Doc Fracos car next friday. You are 100% correct a good tried and true can be better than new. Assuming, of course, that tried and true has been well maintained.

I'm really jazzed, my first trip in the new jewell be up Highway 101 from LA to San Francisco.
