Check out this item on ebay. Item number: 2457582914 It says that Frank built it in 1965, but I would have to second guess that. It may be on a 1965 pan.

Also states that it ran two years ago and was fast,.......compared to what, a 25hp vw?

Very rough but would be a good starting point for someone that wants a kit to build. All the important parts are there.

Patrick,
Love your speedster, that is what I am looking for in a speedster, but with the tan leather interior. I am currently shopping for a speedster, but not sure if to buy a new one or a used one. I have been checking out the intermeccanica speedster in EBAY that you pointed out, and it looks like it might be a good buy. Couple of questions for you. Who is Frank Reisner? And it seems you have had experience with your speedster, how much work does this one need and how much would it cost to get it running and looking decent?, based on the description they put in EBAY. And any other inputs you might want to give me before I jump into purchasing one.
Thanks!
Jose, I wouldn't buy this car unless I could look at it. To bring this car back to 'very good'to 'excellent' condition could be expensive. I bought my 84 IM three years ago. When I purchased it the car only had 14,000 miles and was in beautiful condition. Still, I've managed to spend more than I paid for it in upgrades. Just a word of caution.
By the way, Frank Reisner started Intermeccanica. It is now run by his son, Henry. I believe Frank passed away a year or two ago.

Thanks Ron, I appreciate your input. I am going to do some research on Vintage and IM, so I can purchase one in a few months. I am not to much in a hurry, but would love to start driving one, since I live in Sunny Santa Barbara, CA.
I unfortunately do not have time to be doing the little labor it might take to get one running, thats why I am considering buying one new or from some one that is willing to sell the car they have that is in great running conditions and looks great.
Thanks again.
Jose,

Thanks for the compliments.

The car on ebay is in better condition then mine was in when I bought four years ago.

You will be WAY ahead if you buy a used one that someone else has invested time and money into.

New is nice and Vintage and JPS have great products.

You should plan on going to the Knotts show in April to get a closer look. I plan on having my car at the show. I actually had my car for sale a few months ago, but took it off the market to make some needed adjustments before I put it back on the market (by April).
