I just discovered this yesterday. I lowered the rear end on my car which caused about 4.5 degrees of negative camber. I had always been told that you cannot adjust camber on an IRS VW. Not in this case. There are two ways...
1. Intermeccanica's have an eccentric adjustment on the upper trailing arm that is for camber adjustment. (Just found this out)
2. You can vertically slot the lower trailing arm bolt holes, tilt the trailing arm up to correct negative camber or down to correct positive camber. (This technique works on both IM's and non IM's with IRS)
I took my car to a frame shop and he spotted the eccentric on my trailing arms. He adjusted both sides to 2 degrees negative camber. I could not go any more as the offset on Greg's new wheels put the tires too close to the fender. At 2 degrees I am good with that! It looks so much better.
This little IM extra just may be worth the added 40,000 you pay for one of these cars...!
