Nice car. All that attention to detail yet it has 4 lug wheels.

Nice car! Its just waiting for the right buyer.

Remember, no matter what you do to a replica (or spend on pursuing authenticity), its still a replica!

I get that. I'm just of the mindset that if you're going to do it then do it right, or in the case of replicas, as right as right can be.

Absolutely. But since "right" is subjective, I'd offer "do what's right for you"

Couple of nice ROADSTERS for sale.....does it always happen like this? Spring cleaning? The RIGHT BUYER concept is still whirling around in my brain...I must take a walk and DIGEST ....CIAO!

The cars sit during the winter months and people contemplate how much/little they've driven, where they are in their lives, the future etc and when spring arrives cars get out on the block and sold. It's the best time to sell the cars. The weather is gorgeous, spring blossoms are abundant, and when people see the cars for sale they imagine themselves riding around in the most awesome looking convertible ever and they have to have one.

It's cyclical.

Jim,  you are exactly correct.  The great thing about the replica's is one can customize their car however they want.  Air cooled, liquid cooled; more HP, less HP; spend more, spend less - all without getting into the multiple $100K range.  We get better power, better drivability, better reliability, then the original cars. The one thing we all have in common regardless of mfg, is the timeless lines of the 356 architecture!  Regards, John

Rusty,  Sometimes less is more.  In this case I guess not.  I agree with you, and maybe Phil has a good solution with the 10 hole wheels versus the 8 hole wheels.  For whatever it is worth, my eye is more driven towards the hubcaps than the holes.  Regards, John

Robert,  You are spot on with that assessment........throw in storage problems, and availability of time.  Sometimes, I wish I had a horse, and no iPhone!  BUT.........cars are rolling pieces of art, and there are many ways to appreciate them.  Sadly, I probably spend as much time waxing and cleaning as I do driving.  Regards, John

It's a beautiful car. Good luck with the sale.

A word of advice-- guys who want to sell their cars go elsewhere. Guys who want everybody to tell them why they won't sell their car post them here.

Stan,  Advice noted.  Sometimes you have to be like a duck and let the water run off.  it's life.  Hope all is well in nowhere!  Regards, John

I'm not so sure anymore, we've had four cars posted here in the last 2 months and all four sold to people who have been lurkers here.

Although at this price point it will probably take a wider audience but you never know. GLWTS.

Like Robert said, lots of cars get sold here, but you will definitely get lots if opinions if you post it here.

My opinion is that it's a VERY nice car.

Troy, new photo or did you get younger?  I have been trying to figure out how to age in reverse.

He retired and went on a cruise.....relaxation and no stress will do that I guess.

Younger? Teby was giving me $hit because my other picture was 10 years old, so I posted this one from our recent cruise.

...beautiful woman, hair blowing in the wind...in slow motion... her laughs echoing softly in my ear, me smiling and laughing... then my upper tray falls out, bouncing off the steering wheel and into her lap (cue needle scratch across record) I suddenly wake from my daydream. "Thank goodness I don't have dentures yet. It was only a dream. Man what a relief..."
