This car is very similar to mine but newer and nicer.  Probably a bit overpriced but not much.  If anyone is looking for a nice watercooled IM this is it.  This is not a crazy fast car like the subies.  117hp.  But this is a brand new audi/vw crate engine meant for a brand new jetta.  It will run forever.

I noticed that one as well.   I'd think it well worth the money.

When you get into that price range it becomes a question of would I rather have this car or something like a new(er) Cayman or some other car?

I'd love to drive it or one like it because that would clearly make the above mentioned decision easier to make.

Just a question of what you want to spend the money on.

I've seen the IM cars at Carlisle and they are absolutely beautiful looking cars.  Love to drive one.

I plan on being at Carlisle with the JPS subie couple and maybe I'll get my chance???  Maybe a trade.

I'm still on the fence whether to drive the 1300 miles from Ft. Lauderdale to Carlisle.  Jack and Nolan have both been more than kind in encouraging  me to meet them and caravan most of the way.   Last year I made the drive back with one overnight stay and really enjoyed the drive.    If I make it again this year, you are more than welcome to try a Beck with a 2.5 Suby.

When my IM was at Henry's for a full restoration (2009) I got a chance to drive a new IM with a Audi/turbo combo.  Henry hadn't fully sorted out the drive-by-wire throttle yet, but the car really moved!

When I returned the car I asked Henry why he wasn't also installing Subie engines.

He replied, "No one has asked me."

How times have changed.

John, I dumped a very nice 07 Boxster when I got my Subie IM.  My wife misses some of the comfy features and conveniences, but the IM is way more fun.  Here is my wife and me touring the corn, LOL.  Sorry for crappy Iphone video. Second gear start from slow roll. Video shows how smooth and easy the car cruises up to 100mph.  Its not Boxster fast but it raises a few hairs on the back of your neck.

A glass 911 long-hood REALLY hits all the right buttons for me. I love old cars. I hate rust.

I don't think Porsche would be as gracious about a 911 copy as they are about 356s.
