Calender looks good! If any of you have a chance to click on IM website and look at the build section, of 6 cylinder cars, look at the IM13470. This car was put together for a buyer in SF. Its a great build with wonderful detail and custom fabrication. Big money, but a real "feast" for the eyes. Great build!

IM13470 may have the most custom mods of any IM to date not the least of which is the splitting of the rear quarters from tail light to door pillar, widening the body for big tires without going to flares. Very subtle, no doubt expensive but...
The black w/Fuchs 911-6 Speedster on the Home Page was just completed and resides in Seattle. A visual tribute to Dale Bates with the addition of a 2.7L flat six. Oh yeah!
One of the best additions on the Blue Bomb was a Wevo shift/coupler. It made my 915 sure shifting and snick, snick and snick. Every shift is sure. These Porsche 6 builds of Henry's are a delight.
A good friend of mind just brought home an 08 Carrera "S". Absolutley beautiful, 94k. Next year Porsche comes out with a direct injection motor. Its always the next new thing. As it should be. I got off that train when Henry built me my air-cooled dream. I went home, looked at La Bomba and went to sleep, not the least bit interested in the next new thing. I think that in the long/short run, I'll save some coin and have just as much, if not more fun
Not to brag or anything, but Leonard (the owner of the Black Fuch'd IM 6) liked my car so much he told me he wanted to copy it as much as possible. Leonard is about 6'5" and had the speedster seats widened about a inch and installed further back than usual. I sat in the car when I was visiting IM last October and I can just touch the peddles when the seat is in the center of its travel.

It is a stunning car if I say so my self.

BTW, when I was sitting in the car I swear I heard it quietly calling ...Angela ...Angela ...Angela....
I LOVE Van!!! But he always seems to be in a rush to get off the stage. Way too soon for me. Today I left my home in Randolph, NJ to drive to Rhinebeck NY to pick up a puppy for the kids. I made sure that I took my speedster. Most of my driving takes place on two lane country roads. Fun for sure, but I always long to "exercise" my IM 3.2. I forget just what 80-85 mph feels like on the NYS Thruway. Two hours of dancing. It is an Autobahn burner!!!! I scored 28mpg
Last night we had our annual "Trimmer" tree get together. My friend Ken, owner of an original 58 356, took a little ride in my "replica". For half the price I have twice the car. No need to apologize. All I can say is this car is a keeper. I'll pass it on to my son, but not too soon.
Last time I caught Van was when he played at The Last Waltz, the Band's last concert at Winterland, in SF.....back in 1976 for Thanksgiving. Bill Graham had turkey dinners, etc. for the entire audience. A lot of guests sat in with The Band that night.....some Beatles, Stones, Dylan etc.

Asleep at the Wheel swing pretty good, haven't seen them in years either.
