I wonder if converting all those Webers to EFI would make a difference in gas mileage and/or performance??!!

In small talk with mechanic, he said that it(EFI) certainly would improve mileage, efficiency, performance, and mapping but at GREAT COST(not worth it) and not a lot of improvement(maybe 2 to 3 MPG) AND he thought it would detract from the character and value of the car. He suggests NOT doing it NOR would he do it if it was his car......just an exercise in spending dollars on advanced technology. He has a historical soft spot for 3 barrel WEBERS as INTEGRAL to Porsche history

Certainly sounds like fun. Good for you. And it sounds like it is tune correctly too. (or you would not be scooting around without back firing , un-even power band, etc...)

Just for fun, stick a piece of cardboard behind the tail pipes when you crank it to see how much blow-by you are getting and check to see how dark the exhaust pipes are.... Does your garage smell like gas? You might be able to lean it up a tad without sacrificing power...

Or not ... , just enjoy yourself. Once you start, the tinkering never ends.
