I reused the ones from the 1970 donor VW.
Thanks,
But I need the rod that goes vertically from
the latch down to the bottom of the door.
The outside door handle pushes on it to make the
latch release.
Yeah, all they are is mild steel tubing, 3/8" ID, IIRC, with two holes and a slot (for the latch tang to fit into). Pretty simple. If you don't get any offers on here by Tomorrow, we can look in the vendor/swap meet area at Carlisle for you and if we get a pair can send them to you. They can't be very expensive and a bunch of kits used something similar.

Great pictures Leon - Is this an echo of old thread a year ago? I looked in the build manual and they are barely visible. Recall installing those years ago. Looks like electrical conduit - EMT. My door panels are not yet installed - I can measure total length of rods and perhaps trace the rods if that would help.
Amazing how these nondescript pieces get lost over a 30 year build period (been there). I checked the MG Magic list (2008) and they aren't listed there.
Echo??? Well its the same car I was working on back then.....Still have it....See Icon to left of this reply....
Meant the pictures you posted year ago for ashcreek. You car turned out great by the way. Still has the T4 in it?
Yeah, same engine..... Haven't had time to drive it much since the Asheville N.C. get together.... We've bought a "new" money pit (house) and have been sorting it out prior to moving .... When we're in, I plan on a good long road trip....
