I know I can bring in a Fiberfab/CMC as they are confirmed 15 years old or older (out of business prior to 1993)with no title. Has anyone on here brought a BECK into Canada? I suspect I can send it in unfinished form classified as a noncertifiable auto with no engine transmission front suspension stated as "car parts" and finish with donor VW and register as that car. Has anyone on here brought a finished 550 into Canada. I am going to try to as a closed course vehicle with signed declaration from SCCA member and then register as a donor VW. Any thoughts to the contrary? I just brought a Fiberfab from Brewer Maine with no trouble as thay do not need titles there.

I look forward to a long and enjoyable time here at Speedster Owners.com

nope. i called RIV and Canada Customs and asked.

the only thing they though would be ok was if the body was shipped completely on it's own with no other parts. no VIN, no nothing, just the fiberglass body (like rusty tubs sells).

even that was sort of iffy. sort of like "letter of the law" vs. "spirit of th law"
how did you get yours in....

I believe if you read the guide lines you can actually bring a car in in the stage that I had suggested as long as you never refer to it as a kit and only car parts, or you have a great shipper with friends at the broker office. I'll let you know how the Spyder quest goes.
