Also check the Speedsters.com website which can be accessed from the home page of this website. This is a UK based site and I believe lists cars for sale, most of them I think are Chesils. It might be a good starting point if you have not been there already. I think you would be facing some big buck import duties bringing a VS or IM into your country if I am not mistaken.

Lunarboy,

I recently imported (I received the car a month ago) an used CMC from the States to Spain. I couldn't afford an used Chesil or Apal, they are way too expensive in Europe, in fact if I would decide to sell my car now I think I would be able to make a profit of almost double the invested money.

Right now the Euro-USdollar rate is very interesting and for you I guess even better with the sterling. I just bought the car through eBay, had someone check it for me (there are companies that would do it for you if you don't find anyone to help you out on this - check Hemmings) Next is to bring the car over. I contacted another company called Exceptional Auto Shippers. I paid $1.100 from San Diego to Antwerpen.

Next thing you'll have to deal with are the taxes in your country. For me in Spain it was more or less 40% of the car value (therefore the money you paid for it), but I guess you should check in your country.

Hope that helped.

Ignacio
