Have any of you had any experience bringing a Kit up from the states and registering it here. I am interested in bringing in either a TR or a Vintage speedster kit. Not sure how I should go about registering it here in British Columbia.

I imported one from Michigan to Ontario. It was an older Intermeccanica, and was titled as a VW based on the year of the VW pan it used.

If it is registered as a VW, older than 15 years, then you can bring it into Canada. Make sure you have lots of documentation, and can prove that you have communicated with Customs and have their okay to do so.

The car's papers have to arrive at the border to the U.S. side three days before the car is to come across.

Check RIV - Registrar of Imported Vehicles - the federal agency concerned with this.
