i am fairly certain this color is not 'harvest moon' as someone mentioned above. of course, this certainty comes from google image search, so who knows. but according to the beetles i've seen online 'harvest moon' is a more vanilla white color.
anyone care to debate whether this color is sahara beige or champagne yellow or something else? http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7118/6909792764_64d0e17cf3_z.jpg

We gather at the ranch until 10:30 when we leave on our way to Pismo, so the best time to be there would be between 9:30-10:15
give or take a few minutes...see the events folder for the socal gathering thread....this takes place this Friday morning...

Anna,
I have sat in both VS style seats and I think it would be wise for you to do the same. I do not think you will have a problem with the bucket style seat. I would go bucket unless you really like the look of the more sofa style seat. If you corner fast you will appreciate the buckets holding you in place.

anna you might be right about the yellow color. I do see in that pic it's overcast and is affecting the shade. To me it's looks more Harvest than beige... AND who knows if that color was modified. Go on the net and find true colors. 356 Registry...
Sounds like your attracted to the lighter colors. There's plenty of shades of beige, white and even very light shades of grey that could work for you

Well, assuming original colors that's either 1962-65 champagne yellow or 1960-61 condor yellow.
There's a couple cars with champagne yellow and one with condor yellow here: http://www.caporsche.net/carspreviouslysold356.html but I just can't decide what your original pic actually has. Even the four champagne yellow's on that page all appear slightly different.
If that's the color you want, I'd see if your local paint supplier has a chip book with those in it.

Kirk can supply you with whatever color you choose...another thing to consider, is the touch-up process to remove road rash in the future, Kirk can also explain which colors are easier to re-paint..
The Ivory (off-white) was an easy color to re-do....Note that even if you have Kirks bra, you will get a little road-rash over time...

to add to the confusion, John Steele at JPS Motorsports, North Hollywood, makes a padded Speedster style seat that looks kinda like rolled and pleated. He also makes the traditional Speedster seat w/ little to no poadding -- just like the originals. Go look at his -- see my photos also.
