I never knew Ardun heads actually raced at Indy. But the 4 cam heads—shaft driven no less!—are the real wonder. What a car!

One of my local car buddies is quite a builder and has several spectacular cars, one of which is a '32 Ford Coupe with a flatty with Ardun heads on it. I'll see if I can locate a picture.
And the ARDUN company was founded by Zora ARkus DUNtov, the same guy who eventually designed and championed the Corvette for GM.
Tom Ferguson is still making ARDUN heads for Flatheads and IIRC they fetch well over $10K a pair but if you want to add the intakes, carb(s), maybe a blower and get everything polished, pony up a check for $30 Grand or so on top of the built Flathead 59-A/B shortblock. But all that gives you instant bragging rights at any Hot Rod gathering.
But oh, don't they sound Bad-A$$!
I had a pair of finned Edelbrock heads on my Flathead. They sounded like most other Flatheads but at least with a dual Stromberg 97 intake they looked Bad-A$$. They were also a LOT cheaper than a pair of ARDUN heads.
Indeed. The way the body had to be bulged out to fit those Ardun heads.
Agreed. Stupid-cool.
Sold for $250k.
Here's the spare engine. Some assembly required.
