Recently someone posted they have a 356 generator - stand on the beetle motor , there are two different styles for the 356 ...anyone have good info on with will work ? ( I have the oil filler can with the correct base flange.)

Al, I had my son machine a flange for the T1 oil-filler-down-tube (the second Ebay item you posted) I purchased for my motor and a friend weld it in place on my stock VW stand.
It's my understanding that the Porsche generator is smaller in diameter (and more expensive) than a VW generator which I also thought might complicate fan shroud fitting etc.

OK I did this 11 years ago and didn't keep files back then...and this is out of my normal build stuff.
Using a 36HP VW fan shroud, a standard VW generator & I have the 356 oil filler can that looks like a fat flask. My question is ....what Porsche generator stand will work for that application ? THANKS !
