No this was a metallic silver or platinum straight 356 owned for 3 years came from Phonix. Did not Know all the ins and outs of 356 replicas when pursched worried more about the engine. Body and interior
and paint appeared perfect and all the right trim. Had a build 2200
and very fast. Watched a Cobra owner wonder what was wrong with his car on road from Boise to Ketchum Sun Valley fun.
I hate to tell you Murray, but there was a seller who was selling Vintage Speedsters and calling them carbon fiber. I have been around the speedster community for many years and I have yet to see a carbon fiber speedster. If someone went through all the trouble of creating a carbon fiber car, we would certainly know about it here and I doubt they would sell the car painted. The one carbon fiber spyder made, was clear coated to showcase the carbon fiber.

Do you have some pictures, especially of the interior? If you post them, we can tell you what manufacturer made the car. Also, how many digits are in the VIN?

Theron, You are probably correct I could not get good answers on
the body but the matting after burniny is black. Have seen two other reps here in Boise and body and paint was was superior to them.
I ride high end carb fiber bike and know what is required in manufacturing. After settling with insurance will look at SAW
and automatic I have MS and clutch was becomming diffcult. Do like your site though having problem with my credit card and your excepyance. thanks
Murray,

Sorry to hear your ride over-heated.

I don't know that I've seen a carbon fiber car either, but the cost would be through the ROOF! If you look under Makers (tabs above) you'll see everyone in the world that has, or did, or does, make these cars.

I'd keep the story about it being carbon fiber to the insurance company though......LOL!
