In my opinion:
I recently spend some time at JPS. John gave me the grand tour. His cars are "engineered and assembled" not just "put together". Each component is checked in a JPS jig prior to use. His Speedsters are straight, the body work, paint and detail is excellent they are constructed using the best parts available and they are reasonably priced.
His Speedsters are the best VW Pan Based Cars for $$.
I have a Vintage Speedster, and I'd trade mine in an instant for a comparable JPS.

I spent a good deal of time in their display at Carlisle last weekend, and I have to say that the fit and finish is as good as anything I saw at the show. For the money it looks like one heck of a deal. They had a basic car with just a couple of options that listed for $26k. It looked really nice and was a bargain when you saw what some other cars there were going for.
I had occasion to spend quite a bit of time with John at the San Leandro car show year before last. It will make doing state time a lot easier...just kidding.

That was the year he brought soon-to-be Stan's car and had made arrangements to display two other cars that had been delivered to nearby customers. He won the manufacturer's trophy.

As I was giving those cars the once over, I began to see subtle and not so subtle differences in 'them & mine'(mine's a Vintage)I began asking John some pointed questions and he was all over them. He knows his stuff and it became clear to me that his concerns in the build arena make for a good product on the road.
