Inner door handle- for VS

 I use 66 beetle handles

I had a dozen last week, but I mentioned them on here and they all got scooped up immediately, including the set I was hording for myslef...  I'll be looking for more and will let you know if I find them. 

I do have a source for some very high quality reproductions... MUCH nicer than the $5-10 ones you'll find online.  They aren't quite as heavy/nice as the old German ones, but they are MUCH nicer than the China/Brazil ones elsewhere.  I'll be tied up with the Auburn show through Monday but can get some headed my way if you like.  They run about $25 ea.

I could be tempted.  Yeah, get me a set please.

Might be a good time to remind folks not to use the door handles as 'pulls' to close your Speedster door! Whenever I get in the Speedy, I always close the door by placing my hand on the 'top' of the door and NOT pull on the door handle! 

You all probably already know that, but I'm just saying....

Chines1,  thank you for the quick reply.  Sounds like I was a week late.  I'm in no rush to get a German set, as I'm in Seattle, its raining already and the daily driving season may he coming to a close soon.  im just putting my list of winter projects together and handles were on the top of my easy project to do list.

  If you can get your hands on the German ones I don't mind waiting, just let me know.  Million thanks 

musbjim-  thank you for the advice... the source of the bending has been my wife pulling on the door handles.  It's taking a little education to get her transitioned from our '59 MG to the VS. She is heavy handed, and weighing barely 100lbs she does not know her own strength.  She prefers the heavier parts, and is not enamored with the cheaper reproduction parts.  so she gave me the "go do" to change the user interface parts for better quality ones...

 She loves the VS, but she's undecided n the plastic body.

Jimbo, a number of months ago I used the steering wheel as leverage to get in my tub and actually pulled the wheel right out of its hub and it fell in my lap.

fortunetly I was in the gas station down the street from my house and was able

to fit it back in enough to get back home, it was then flat-bedded to VS the next day.

Found a set of lightly used german made VW ones at Wagenwerks, Victorville, CA.  They asked for 12.40$ each.  Was curious, so for the price I ordered them.  Got them today.  They are the real thing, and in great shape.

ran int their shop by chance... We park a/c at Victorville, and a local mechanic at the airfield suggested I check them out.  They were awesome to deal with and have comprehensive inventory of new/used vw parts for restoration projects...
