To whom it may concern,
I recently inherited a 57 356D Porsche Speedster that my father had built by JPS Motorsports in San Marcos, Ca. It is currently in Massachusetts and recently got a VIN acquired as well as Mass registration but we cannot get it inspected. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Where in Mass are you located? That will determine which RMV office will be more helpful to you.

@Joshua A Bartos . I'm sure @Gordon Nichols will be able to help. But along the process you are going to have to talk to different people at the motor vehicle offices. It's usually helpful to not refer to your car as a 1957 356D Porsche Speedster. Your car wasn't ever touched by Porsche and this will only make things more difficult for you.
Just saying it's a JPS Motorsports Speedster will usually get you much farther. Same for insurance and anything else.
