I bought a multi media deck... CD, USB, Aux in, blue tooth, and even XM etc.... I plan on just rocking the USB, as it's the most clear they said. I am going to try to be covert, and run it all up and as high as I can under the dash. I will be rocking the 100watt Pioneer head, and 2 Infinity 6x9's. I wanted to keep it simple. I will probably run a direct battery connection, as I really don't trust pulling a lot of amps on a "who knows who built it wire harness". I will report back and possibly throw in some build pics.

I searched for an hour on here, and really found nothing much more than a bunch of door speakers, etc. I really don't want to hack up my doors. I have some 6x9's and they are just too big for me to "hide". I have very little knowledge about auto audio. If my new Kenwood deck puts out 4x50 watt's ... stupid question... can one wire the from and back left's for example and get 100 watts? Or is it still going to be 50 watts? Will 6" speakers put out nearly the sound of a 6x9? I think I can hide a 6" speaker... I think a 4" spreader just won't put out much sound. Thanks guys!!!
I have a VS so my car may be different . I was able to put a pair of Boses rear corvvette amped speakers in the back wall of the rear shelf they are partly covered whenthe top is down but they still sound fine. I also put a set Buick Riviara front amped Boses speakers in the front quarter pannels

Can you do something like that?
Keith - a few things. The 6x9s are mainly to add bass. The 6.5s will be comparably as loud depending on the brand, model and most importantly the power source. Which brings me to... Ignore that 4x50 watt rating on the head unit. It's a marketing number representing the maximum output, which almost never happens and certainly never happens consistently. What you are concerned with is the average output which is more like 10-15. And no, crossing over a head unit won't make much of a difference, if any at all. Car stereo is a weakest link game. Your weakest link is your power source. Add an amp or you're stuck with whatever the head unit can kick out, which isn't much. At the point it doesn't really matter what speakers you have. They wouldn't be the thing that's holding you back.
