got a little bit of sticker shock when I started pricing insurance rates for my 356 (currently under construction with JPS motorsports.) Just got rid of 2 anitques worth quite a bit more and paid a whole lot less for antique car insurance. I'm in PA. and wondering if anyone had suggestions on insurance carriers. Quotes from JC Taylor and Condon & Skelly came in at $726 and $621 respectively. Looking forward to getting the car either way. My wife was killed in a car accident 3 months ago, and this is pretty much the only thing I look forward to lately!

Neal,
I have my CMC insured with Farm Bureau Insurance, along with my other two vehicles. I am paying around $30 per month in the summer and $5 per month during the winter when it is stored in my garage.
My insurance is also for a stated value as it is titled as a 1972 VW sedan. I am in SE Michigan.
Lastly, my sincerest condolences on your loss.
Jim.
Hi, Neal.

Looks like you and I will have green JPSs coming out about the same time.

K&K Insur. Service via Jonathan Barlow. $374 p/yr, $500 deductible, and their check just arrived for exact purchase price of my car (destroyed in fire) bought a year ago, damn near to the penny. No mileage restriction but must have a daily driver already insured. They agreed to the appraisal value (which matched the purchase price) done the week of purchase at '04 Knott event

I'll let you know if they give me a repeat policy...

Sincerest condolences for your loss, Neal.
MM
Neal,
I am so sorry to hear about your wife...

Regarding insurance, I suggest you call Robert Leggio at Motorsports Insurance in California. 310-301-0333. They insure our spyder (in face AON is the actual carrier). We have no mileage limitations on our car which is standard with many policys. We do have to store the car in a garage directly attached to our residence and we have to have other cars insured (we do thru State Farm).

No mileage limits, Neal. Drive, have fun.
