I contacted my insurance agent today to get my speedster insured. I gave him a description of my "kit car" which has no experience. He contacted the underwriter and called me back. He said he will need to know the cost of building this kit to determine it's "value". He needed to know the original cost (1991)of the kit along with all parts/materials to build the car.
Does anyone know what these kits cost back in 1991? And what would have been the value of a 1971 pan?
I'm not sure why they want these figured since they would be 16 years old and irrelevant in the value of replacing the car today.
