Wow took a bad front end hit. Would love to see a shrunk down fiberglass version on Miata chassis. Friend of mine in NJ had a '67 British racing green coupe back in 1971.
I have always loved those and asked Henry a couple of years back if he had any plans to resurrect them. He was a bit cagey, but it was obvious he had something in the works. That might be worth me robbing a bank for.
Love this car. Have never seen one in the flesh ... (that I can remember). But then, I am even older than Lane.
ANY PICS OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL LOOKED LIKE?
That IS an original. When Henry's father started Intermeccanica, they produced Italian/American hybrids, that is Italian cars with American drive trains. The Italia (shown) is beautiful in both coupe and roadster forms. Look at this one:

I was lucky enough to see one this year - the yellow one in Henry's webpage. In fact, I took that photograph. They are quite beautiful 'in person', and I'm sure the owner of the one being restored will be very happy with the finished product.
Talk about having a rare car...
Here are a couple more shots I took.
