SCHWINGGG!!!
I remember waiting for Natalie. I didn't think I was going to make it. Hang in there!
oh man - i'm stoked for you!
Put a plate on that thing! EXCELLENTO!
Damn Marty---you gotta be itching at the bit! I know I would be.
What a wonderful sound too--love the growl of that engine. Your selections have been so nice---can't wait to see it in de flesh!
Congrats, buddy.

Damn, Marty. That sounded GOOOOOD.
I plugged my iPhone into my car stereo and cranked it up! Must have played it 10 times. Henry said it sounds great in person too. He said that the firing order is different than VW/Porsche but cool nonetheless.
Henry is too much of a tease.
Lovely sound there!
Lovely sound there!
That sounds mysteriously familiar. Welcome to the moist side Marty!
Marty, start a 3rd post
WOW.... nice
So, have you rented a roller rink down there in Chicago for the next two months? 'Cause I know you won't be driving it in the windy city anytime soon.

Nice Marty. I really like the choices you are making on your build.
You're getting a new car? Cool. What is it?

That thing's sweet!
I forget Lane, its been like 9-10 months, but I think it has something to do with a bad ass Water Cooled-Subaru 356 Intermeccanica Carerra styled Roadster. Thanks for jogging my memory:-)
This is taking so long the current pictures look like they're 30 years old already. But they sure are nice old pictures!
Very nice, Marty! The wheels look FANTASTIC! Good choice.
So, Marty, I noticed your mention somewhere of your family trip to L.A. Will this family member be joining you for this trip. Wouldn't that be a nice birthday party?
It's getting near the end, Marty. Henry sent me a couple of shots of my car, and yours is visible in them.
Question - how do you get your thumbnails to come up full size when they are clicked on?

Bob, try to forward the email & save the picture on different PC if you have one. Make sure your email is not shrinking the photo. If it gives you the option on size select large file. Henry sends these photos in low resolution already so you can post them as is. Are the photos opening ok on your PC? email me one direct marty at cfgoa.com.
oops...nevermind!
Encouraging words from IM.
Great to speak with you today!
I am loving it!! Your Roadster is running smooth and strong, engine feels good with great power @ 3,500RPM. Transaxle feels good and is loosening up.

Here are a bunch of photos that Henry sent me late last night.

The anticipation must be unbearable. Any day? "A thing of beauty is a joy forever".
Al, we are real close. Few more test miles, clean underbelly and engine compartment. Thats about it.
Great photos, Marty. Henry does a bang up job on his cars, and I can't thing of one thing that your car needs. It's perfection as it stands, and you should get years of enjoyment out of it.
It should go like scoot, too.

My, my, my, Marty. It is beautiful. My only concern for you is the birds and the vanity mirrors on the sunvisors.
Are you saying that bird doodo targets the mirror reflections? I never asked for them and was suprised to see mirrors there. Sandy is going to like them.
man - Henry and gang build BEAUTIFUL cars. if you guys ever read this - my humble hats off to your craftsmanship.
marty - like i said in the email, i am happy to do a pre-delivery inspection drive to help sort out any unlikely bugs. i figure a week should do it now that i know it can withstand this kind of rain!

Thank you to everyone. I hope to get more sleep now that my automotive dream seems to be turning into reality. Henry has assured me that this Intermeccanica drives as good as she looks. I guess you can say that some things are definately worth the wait. I plan to do a nice video when spring comes.
Don't get too comfortable, Marty. I just saw a show about how vulnerable the Pacific northwest is to megathrust earthquakes and the associated tsunamis. You never know when such a disaster could happen. For all we know, Vancouver might no longer exist. I'm just sayin'.
Then we better install some automatic floaties on all the IM guys; just in case disaster strikes;-)
Marty how do you take delivery, are you flying into Vancouver?
I was orignially thinking of flying out but at this time of year I may just have the car shipped. I dont want to book a flight and get there to find crappy weather. Henry does a good job of getting to know the customer. I think he has a very good handle on what my needs were/are and has addressed them accorindgly.
Most likley the car will be here in a month or less and I'll just stare at it in the garage for several weeks until driving season opens:-)
