Yeah, you DON'T want to take that out on slushy, salty roads. Just sit in the garage and make VROOM VROOM sounds.
Can I come down and watch with you?
16" of snow here in Olympia a week ago Friday. Heard Henry was doing winter driving tests up the road in Vancouver. We don't use salt here so no worries.

Plus I had heard Henry brought in Walter Rohrl for the driving. Nothing but the finest for Marty's new IM.
Felix, headers and muffler were out for ceramic coating this week. Car ships soon. Weather should break a few weeks after getting the car and then I can update you with real driving review.
Marty, you will of course drive directly north to my house immediately after unloading, right? I'll have the driveway shoveled for you.
Sure Rich. Soon as it turns 75 degrees!
Pipes are back in and they are all shinny now!

Yes, nice and shiny!
Hey, Marty! I had mine out today and it was only 35 and you'll have all that water cooled heat flowing throughout the cabin. You woos! 75! We'll have the AC on and what fun will that be?
Alright Rich. Revised to 60 and no gloves- I promise:-)
Bet you're starting to squirm about now...
Like Jim says, My pants are too tight.
Friggin' awesome!!
Ditto what Scott said!

A little finishing touch to the engine bay.

I would guess pretty soon we will be seeing pictures of the owner inserted behind the steering wheel. You did order that option, right?
That engine bay is kinda like going down in the hold of the Mayflower and seeing a Nuclear Reactor sitting there...
The plan is to have the car on a truck in the 10 days. Give or take a day.
Gordon - that was a pretty good analogy!
It's official, my car is on truck and heading my way.
On the truck, or in the truck?
Just wondering how you are having it shipped, and if it is on the truck, how it is protected.
Only a few more sleeps until Christmas morning!

Enclosed trailer.
Great news, Marty. Congratulations. You've been a fine patient.
Marty, you are about to realize, as much fun as it was to build. Its MORE fun to own and DRIVE. See you at Carlisle!
You mean it's done and on it's way??......Already??

I think its safe to say if you are doing a VW Suspension and Engine build with Intermeccanica give it at least 6-7 months. If you are doing a Water Cooled or 911 Car 8-9 months is realistic. It went by pretty fast. 5 of the months were not for sports car driving in the Midwest, so that makes it a lot easier. Your mileage may vary:-)
I have an Intermeccanica sitting in my Garage! Thanks to everyone for following my long thread(s) :-)

Reading about this was fun all winter long, but I am thinking you keep looking in the garage to make sure you are not dreaming! Thanks for share this with us!
Marty, does this mean that you will be calling Jake from State Farm at three in the morning?
Outstanding! The only thing missing is you and Sandy's smiling faces sitting inside it.
It's a beautiful day...
Very nice Marty. It coulda been a widebody, but ya done good!
Excellent---enjoyed the periodic updates on this beauty! Looking forward to seeing it and you & Sandy at Carlisle.
Congratulations, Marty I know it will exceed your expectations.
