I'm more into the 'outlaw' look in a coupe, but this is kinda cool too:

Ummm.... There were some serious liberties taken with the shape and proportions. Given that he's asking almost what JPS gets for one of theirs, I think he's aiming at the less-than-informed customer.
This car has been for sale for some time. It appears that the trailing edge of the doors on both sides don't line up with the body when closed. It also looks like the there is a gap between the front window frame and the glass when rolled up. Also, in several views the rear side windows just don't look right, but I can't put my finger on why. Probably just me.
This isn't a purchase I'd make without a trip to Mexico City first.
It's interesting but I can't make up my mind whether I think it is really cool or really tacky in that body color, interior color combo.
I think Lane's refined eye detected it. Proportionately just not right somehow. Also the frame around the side windows looks way to wide.
No me gusta.

My thoughts exactly
CMC door gap, wrong windshield, wrong rear side windows, wrong door glass.... Other than that, it just don't look right....
ditto Leon. The only thing I'll buy from Mexico is tequila .
Fugly, period.....
There isn't enough tequila to get me into that car the more I look at it.
Front emblem is crooked, bumper deco looks off. Ugly!
...also, the rear wheel cutout isn't right.
Okay, next car!

This pretty much sums it up. Have you seen the cars in Mexico? That whole country is a $hit Show. I was just there and Mexico city is no exception.
They certainly know how to cobble stuff together to keep them running; talk about low budget. I've heard Cuba is even more inventive, though. All those old cars and no access to parts for all these years... Al
Notice the lumps in the upholstery? I'm not at all suspicious about the quality and content of the padding.
Buy the car, ship to the states and then one morning go out to find that the entire interior has been removed overnight and the neighbor's retired dope sniffing K9 is all over the car.
Not that it could happen. Gives new meaning to the term "outlaw coupe".
I'm pretty sure they've grafted a superbeetle roof onto that thing.
That is pretty good BobG........I can see the headline "Outlaw Mexicoupe busted at border".
Muy bonito Porsche Tres Cincuenta y Seis! - El Guapo, the most GUAPO hombre in all of SoCal
Gives new meaning to the term "outlaw coupe". BWAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA!
............Good One Bob !
i've chatted with the guy that built this. It's definitely not something you'd see in by us (Carrera Coachwerks) or JPS. I look at it and think that Curious George the monkey is going to pop out of it at any moment. It's all mex VW beetle in pan, guts, etc.
White is just a terrible interior color too.......who would order that?
I think that would be "El Jorge Curioso", and that vision fits with the car!
Did John Steele put the "P" script on the nose? It looks quite a bit like the job he did on a speedster I had him build back in '02.
You guys are tough. Other than it being the color of diarrea I think it looks like a Continental. Here are some other pics of the car..
good from far, but far from good.
Mango:
I get ya, but I think it is the other way around.Close shots of emblems, tail lights, dashboards, gauges etc look good. It's when you step back and get perspective on larger parts of the car beyond components is when the sum of the parts turns out to be less, at least for me.
It looks to me, Stan, that in addition to the script on the front being crooked, the bumper is canted slightly and the body looks torqued.
Looks like something built by a guy with mores skills than I have, but less skills then what is required to turn out a $30,000 replica.
RIP thread.
...stick a fork in it and call it done.
