He lists it as a 1949 356 "made with many 1950's original pieces, like hood ornament." The 1949 split windshield is kinda fun & different, as well as 1951 metal dash from a 356A. Nice exhast - the guy did a really fine job on it. Just not crazy about calling it a "1949 Porsche 356 356" (and that's not a duplicate-typo on my part).

That's, um, different. I must be off my meds today, because I kinda (emphasis on "kinda") like it. The windshield will probably prevent the owner from ever fitting a top, though. Don't care for the hump on the engine lid, though.

Lane, I gotta' agree with your assessment of the engine cover....prompts the big question WHY? I like the windshield and I would like the dash had they done a bit of fiberglass work and removed the 356 cluster hump.....before tacking on the early dash...just my opinion....

That's got some cool ideas in it. Maybe not exactly how I might have done, but since I never really do much of ANYTHING, it's a mute point really.

The dash, tail lights and wheels/drum skins really tickle me.

Oh, and those drilled out early VW smoothies hold promise for sure!

Deck lid hump: Looks like that tall carb would not fit under the deck lid.
The lower Weber Progressive 2BBL. carb also needs to have the underside of the deck lid modified to fit. I bet the wife is short one cake pan :) !Alan
